when this story first came out, i had the usual response of denial: "no, this can't have happened." but then i saw the name "halliburton," and started to swear and spit and other very unlady-like things.

i saw a bumper sticker yesterday that made me laugh. i don't know if it will have the same impact on you because you have resisted the harry potter phenomenon, but it said "Republicans for Voldemort, '08" made me snort a bit.
I signed the petition and suggested that they place the men under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. I figure the rape of a prisoner, legal detained or not, in a combat zone is probably worthy of a firing squad.

This is outrageously evil. I signed the petition, but seriously, that's just unspeakable horrible.
